Cacao Are You? Adaptogenic Drink Blend

This calming, earthy blend is delightful to drink morning and night and is wonderful for your immune system as well as overall physical and mental health. Be sure to pay attention to the spicy undertones of the cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. Be happy that you are supporting ethical and sustainable farming practices while drinking in the cacao and premium maca. Feel the goodness that you are bringing into your body. And with the help of those chia seeds, enjoy the smooth drink and the clean, powder-free bottom of the mug when you are done. No more scratchy-throat as you're trying to get the settled mixture out from the bottom. The chia seeds just suck it all up and make for the easiest of drinking. I drink a cup of this every morning. I love sitting on my couch by the window and watching the birds eating at their feeders while I have this warm mug in my hands. And at night, it just feels so calming and peaceful before bed...but not too soon before I go to bed or I'll just have to pee right away! 😉😆

To order: Cacao Are You?

Side note: This blend also makes a really delicious, unique cup of hot chocolate. Just blend with your favorite milk and sweetner. I use 2-3 teaspoons per 16 oz mug when making hot chocolate. 🙂

About the sizes...
----> The 4 fl. oz. paper jar contains about 16 servings of the Cacao Are You? This is based on the recommended serving size. Add more or less to your liking, of course.
----> The upcycled 11 fl. oz. glass jar contains about 35 servings of the Cacao Are You? Again- based on recommended serving size. 😁
****I pack these jars pretty full by gently pounding them down. This helps pack the powder together so you get more in each jar and are buying less air. Please be careful when opening them so none of the blend pops out.****

----->Recommended to enjoy: (and this is based on my own personal-use. We aren't coffee drinkers in my home so we might not make this drink as strong as some would like. We love it, though- even my boys! Feel free to add more if you like a thicker, stronger drink.) Use one slightly heaping teaspoon per ~ 16 fluid ounces of hot water(my mug is a 16 oz mug). Splash with some milk(I use oat milk) or creamer and/or sweetener(I use local honey) of your choosing. Enjoy!
****I've noticed that similar drink blends recommend using multiple teaspoons or even tablespoons per serving. Feel free to experiment to see what you like. :) *****

Please note: This product is not intended to cure or treat any medical condition. Please consult your physician before ingesting this blend.

Below is just A BIT of the exceptional properties and goodness of the plants that are a part of this blend. :)

---> Ceremonial Cacao: Cacao is a wonder. It's loaded with minerals. It can help improve your mood and increase energy. It is also PACKED with antioxidants(way more than blueberries), iron, calcium(more than milk), and magnesium. I purchase my ceremonial cacao from family-owned Heartblood Cacao, and they have a direct relationship with the cacao farmer. If you are interested in learning more about cacao and what exactly ceremonial cacao is, please check them out for yourselves. They are very transparent and so informative about all things cacao. They have a real passion for the goodness of the entire process, and I am very happy to support their cause and their mission.

---> Premium, Tricolor Raw Maca: Maca may support hormonal health, energy, libido, fertility, and emotional well-being. Maca is a a superfood and an adaptogen which means that it is a plant that helps your body deal with and adapt to physical stress...like inflammation, body aches, etc. Some say it is one of the most powerful adaptogens. That is the simplest way to put it I suppose. I'm not nearly as good with words as many other shop owners on here! ;) That being said, maca root has also become a more complex plant of interest over the past several years and growth and sale of it has led to some negative consequences, and the demand for maca root has led to some not-so-great business, land, and human practices. I purchase pure Peruvian maca from a family-owned company that is very dedicated towards fair treatment and payment to the maca farmers in Peru as well as sustainable, organic, traditional farming practices. They are exceptionally transparent in their practices, and I trust them completely. I hope you enjoy this fresh, earthy, wholesome maca!

---> Chia Seeds: These are little nutrient powerhouses, and, I'm telling you, they are my favorite part of this drink. No, I cannot taste them, but I just love how they suck up all of the plant powders and make this mixture so darn easy to drink. They are loaded with fiber- so even when you are drinking, you are eating. They have high levels of magnesium, manganese, and phosphorous...as well as calcium and healthy fats(many omega 3-fatty acids). Chia seeds are also full of antioxidants, and they may even reduce blood sugar levels.

---> Ginger: This lovely spice is responsible for part of the warm and cozy undertones of this drink. It is high anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, and it is powerful in the way of immune support. Ginger is also very good for digestion. It is even believed to help reduce menstrual pain and lower cholesterol levels.

---> Ceylon Cinnamon: This cinnamon is known as "true cinnamon," and it is the only kind I use. Ceylon cinnamon contains much less of a substance called "coumarin." This substance is thought to be harmful in large doses so I just stay away from it. Getting back to the beneficial properties of ceylon cinnamon, it has- you guessed it- many anti-inflammatory properties and is loaded with antioxidants. It is thought to perhaps lower the chances of developing heart disease and also lower blood sugar levels. Along with ginger, there is promising research that suggests that cinnamon may have positive effects on neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

---> Cloves: Following along with its counterparts, cloves add a warm, spiciness to this blend, and they are just as good for you as the others. Cloves also have cancer-fighting properties(not listed above, but you guessed it again, all of them are full of those properties), anti-inflammatory properties, as well as anti-microbial properties. There is also research that shows that cloves may indeed be beneficial to liver health- although research on humans is somewhat limited. They also help to regulate blood sugar and may improve bone health with minerals such as manganese.
